Pressed Flower Escort Cards
A simple how-to guide.
One of my favorite wedding details is always the escort card display. It’s a great place to put unexpected details. Every single guest will need to pass by it at some point, so your efforts will never go unnoticed.
Pressed flowers are really having a moment right now, as they should! They add texture and color and certainly bring the wow factor to otherwise simple escort cards. I collected most of these flowers and leaves from my yard but a simple grocery store bouquet will give you a lot of bang for your buck. I press everything from flowers to leaves to herbs and weeds. Not everything is going to press perfectly, so give yourself some variety to mix and match.

STEP 1
Gather your flowers and place them between two sheets of parchment paper closed inside of a heavy book for about three weeks, or until completely dry.
-
STEP 2
While flowers press, prepare your escort cards. If printing at home, I recommend using 80lb cardstock. For more tips on printing and trimming, check out this post.

Grow it.
Arrange flowers and leaves and adhere to cards using a glue stick. Store in a flat, dry place.
